Danmission is pleased to announce that Kaw Mai is our new Program Manager in Myanmar from April 1 2017.

Kaw Mai will be based in the capital Yangon, with the responsibility for Danmission’s programs throughout the country.

Kaw Mai has international experience and she has recently been appointed to participate in the UN program for talented women, organized by the Swedish Foreign Ministry’s SIDA (Danida in Sweden) within the themes of women, peace and security.

Kaw Mai is the best candidate because she also has skills and experience in dialogue, which will be a benefit to Danmission and our partners in Myanmar.

Asked about what she looks most forward to contribute with in her new position, Kaw Mai replies:

“I am looking forward to have a meaningful engagement in building up this nation together with Danmission – a Myanmar in which dialogue among others will become is a core value and practice of each and every Burmese at all levels.”
