Danmission together with our partner in Tanzania, the Evangelical Lutheran Church East of Lake Victoria Diocese (ELCT-ELVD) offer internship in the Spring of 2017. In Mwanza Region, ELVD has supported communities in establishing seven human rights committees that engage in conflict resolution and promotion of human rights with religious, traditional and secular duty bearers.
A committee is now being established at regional level with opportunities for influencing government to ensure improved enforcement of legislation that grant women and children protection and rights. In this respect, documentation of results is pivotal.
Challenging tasks and projects
Together with the local program manager, the intern will be responsible for documenting the process and results of the program:
Follow up, validate and research news and information about the previous and current development of the program implementation and results and work on documenting the relevant selected events based on the provided criteria.
Conduct interviews with partners and beneficiaries in different areas of the program
Develop periodical context-reports and situation analyses documents based on the data collected
Develop social media contents to be shared with partners
Student qualifications
We expect that you can work independently and adapt to a different work culture. Flexibility re. work tasks might be required. Ability to analyze and present collected material in English Basic knowledge of statistics Basic analytical knowledge Ability to cooperate and to work efficiently as a team player
Additional information
The intern will be based at ELCT-ELVD office in Mwanza.
The intern position is for a period of 3 months.
The internship is self financed.
