Danmission envoys moves from Bangladesh to Cambodia

The couple Christa and Peter Herum, who are Danmission’s envoys in Bangladesh, will soon have a new address in Cambodia.

The couple Christa and Peter Herum who works as Danmission’s envoys in Bangladesh, will from July have a new address.

Danmission are reducing its efforts in Bangladesh because of cuts in Danida funds, which means that Christa and Peter Herum, who works as dialogue and communication consultant and Regional Director for Asia, will be moving to Cambodia.

“It was not planned that we would have to depart Bangladesh after only two years in the country, but we are pleased to be able to continue to work in the region of Asia as Danmission’s envoys. We look forward to a good cooperation with our colleagues here as well as in Hellerup, concerning the good projects that will continue in the region,” says Peter Herum.

The couple and their son have just visited Cambodia to get more practical details in order.

The family will be based in the capital.

“Phnom Penh is a lively, exciting and thriving town, which we look forward to live in the coming years. Our 15-year-old son, Jonas, has been accepted at the International School, we have found a place to stay, and everything looks good, “says Christa Herum.

The couple’s oldest son, David, will in the coming months be working as a volunteer in a village in the northern part of Bangladesh. He will return to Denmark in August, where he will be joining the royal guard.
